Head Librarian

I have been working at St. Mary as the Librarian for 12 years. 

 

I grew up on a farm 3 miles from Colman, SD.  I attended SDSU where I graduated in 1977 with a Bachelors Degree in retailing.  I worked in Lincoln, NE at Ben Simons for 3 months.  I was married in 1977 to Dave and we farm northwest of Dell Rapids.  I worked at Northwestern National Bank for one year.  I was a stay at home mom and farmwife while we raised our 3 sons Brian, Josh and Scott.  When all three sons were in school I stared working at St. Mary in the Library dividing my time between the grade school building attic library and the high school library.  A couple of years later we combined the two libraries into one, now located in the high school building.  All three of our sons are graduates of St. Mary and are members of the South Dakota Air National Guard.

 

Some of my hobbies include reading, gardening, rummaging and quilting.  I have also enjoyed following my sons in their many sports endeavors over the years.    I followed Northern State University where Josh played defensive end position on the NSU football team and the University of Sioux Falls where Scott plays tight end.  I also enjoy spending time with my grandchildren Austin and Khloe.
